Research Area

We are interested in the molecular mechanisms involved in virus entry and assembly. In the recent years, we studied the glycoprotein mediated entry of SARS-CoV, influenza virus and some alphavirusesCell2023 mBio2022Commun. These studies could guide the developments of vaccine and anti-viral drugs.  Now the research in my lab is focused on understanding the interactions between virus and receptor, developing vaccine antigens and understanding the mechanisms that govern the assembly of complex viruses.
